Politics

I hate mainstream party politics. MAGA is a scam. I would like third parties to succeed to give more diverse choices, but this probably won't happen until the broken 'first past the post' system of voting is replaced in the US and until we stop pretending corporations are people with none of the accountability.

I'm something of a left libertarian. Do as you will but I do believe a) government is off the rails and compromised by corporate interests and b) corporate interests are completely off the rails. How to fix this? Idk. I chip into what seems good where I'm welcome or am effective.

Fuck billionares. You do not become a billionare without having hurt people.

• Privacy is a human right, and I would prefer that it is preserved even if it means some bad people are not caught. You may think the topic is hopeless in the digital age, but I don't think so. Start with Ublock Origin and reject predatory adtech, and look into resources like PrivacyGuides. Even little or incomplete measures show you care. Reject ID walling the internet.
• The world would be better off if more people knew how to computer.
• "Piracy" is not morally incorrect, only legally incorrect. IP laws are off the rails and insane, lobbied into extortionate durations by the far-too-affluent who are too greedy to come up with something new once their fair shake has passed.
• I would call my religious persuasion "agnostic."
• Linux is good and Debian is nice.

I used to have more written but meh. Its not a debate, just my assertions. Take them or leave them. I fully reserve the right to change my mind at future points in life: we always learn, we always change. My opinions are not my entire identity.
